APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If a Log Target upload uses a DNS server to resolve its host
  name, and the Host resolution or connection fails. DataPower
  might still mark the file as sent and display "File upload
  success" before logging the upload failure messages.
  

Local fix

• Use an IP address in Log Target upload server field, or monitor
  DNS failure messages on Log Target upload.
  

Problem summary

• Affected are DataPower Log Target uploads.
  
  If a Log Target upload uses a DNS server to resolve its host
  name, and the host resolution or connection fails, then
  DataPower might still mark the file as sent and display file
  upload success before logging the failure.
  

Problem conclusion

• Fix is available in 6.0.0.8, 6.0.1.4 and 7.0.0.2.
