IJ15437: AVAILABLE LABOR DIALOG BOX IN GRAPHICAL ASSIGNMENT INCLUDES INACTIVE LABOR

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • In Graphical Assignment when selecting the 'Available Labor'
    from an assignment the dialog includes a filtered list of labor
    records based on the 'Restricted Labor query' which is good, but
     the list also includes INACTIVE Labor records which is
    INCORRECT. It looks like the INACTIVE Labor records have
    available time and can be assigned work, which they cannot.
    
    
    Steps to Replicate
    
    Pre-requisite:
    1. Go to Administration<Calendars
    2. Recall DAY calendar and ensure that End Date includes this
    year.
    3. Ensure that Day shift has been applied to calendar
    
    Steps:
    1. Go to Work Order Tracking and insert a new record
    Scheduled Start Date= a date in the future, time=12:00 PM,
    Scheduled End Date= same day as SSD, time = 1 hour later
    Duration=1
    2. Go to Plans tab Labor sub-tab, New Row, Craft=ELECT,
    Regular Hours = 1
    3. Save record
    4. Go to Graphical Assignment application and insert new record
    Work List=1234, Calendar=DAY Org=EAGLENA, Shift=DAY, Duration in
    Days=7
    Work Queries, click new row, Where Condition =
    wonum='your_workorder_above"
    Restrict Resource Availability, click new row, Where Clause=
    1=1,
    5. Save record
    6. Click on Work View tab
    7. On the ORANGE ELECT bar, place cursor and right-click
    8. Select Available Labor menu option
    9. Scroll bar down in dialog box or enter KAZMIER in Labor
    filter and click refresh
    RESULTS: KAZMIER is listed in the Available Labor dialog box
    
    Now,
    
    10. Go to Administration<Resources<Labor application
    11. Recall labor record KAZMIER
    12. Change Status to INACTIVE
    13. Go to Graphical Assignment and recall work list from above
    14. Click on Work View tab
    15. On the ORANGE ELECT bar, place cursor and right-click
    16. Select Available Labor menu option
    17. Scroll bar down in dialog box or enter KAZMIER in Labor
    filter and click refresh
    
    RESULTS: KAZMIER is listed in the Available Labor dialog box
    
    EXPECTED RESULT:
    labor KAZMIER should NOT be listed in Available Labor dialog box
    
    NOTE: any subsequent work orders created referencing ELECT
    Craft, when in Graphical Assignment and Available Labor is
    opened, KAZMIER is always listed.
