IJ13113: WORK ORDER STATUS CHANGES FROM WMATL TO APPR AFTER MATERIAL RECEIPT, EVEN IF RESERVED ITEM IS STILL OUT OF STOCK

  • Problem Description
    
    In Work Order Tracking, a Work order referencing a Direct Issue
    item and an out of stock item
    on a single work order, has its status change from WMATL to APPR
    after the direct issue material receipt, even when the
    additional reserved item is still
    out of stock
    
    Steps to reproduce the problem :
    
    1. In the Organizations application :
    a. Click on Work Order Options > Other Organization Options :
    i. Under the Select Action menu. Uncheck the 'Ignore storeroom
    availability for work order status?' checkbox.
    b. Select Inventory Options > Inventory Defaults under the
    Select Action Menu.
    i. Under Negative Current Balance Options, select Disallow
    Negative Balance.
    ii. Under Negative Available Balance Options, select Allow
    Negative Available Balance .
    2. In the Work order tracking application, create a new work
    order.
    a. On the Plans tab, Materials sub tab, add one line for an item
    having a quantity on hand of 0 in any storeroom. (so it will be
    unavailable) Item=39882, Qty=1, Storeroom Site=BEDFORD,
    Storeroom=BEDFORD
    b. Add two more lines for Direct Issue materials, click New Row,
    Item=Z-RAGS, Direct Issue?=CHECKED, click New Row, Item=GLOVES,
    Direct Issue?=CHECKED
    3. Approve the work order.
    a. The work order status goes to WMATL. (as expected)
    4. Go to Inventory, Common Actions<Reorder<Reorder Direct Issues
    Itms/Svcs, Run in Background Mode? UN-checked, Click Run Reorder
    Note the Pr/PO No.
    5. Approve the created PR/PO and/or PO, as needed. You may need
    to specify GL Debit Account on PO Lines tab before approving PO
    6. Go to Receiving app and receive the 2 material lines on your
    PO above Receipts changes to COMPLETE
    a. After the last receipt on the PO, go to the Work Order
    Tracking app and recall the work order form above
    Erroneous RESULT: the work order status changes from WMATL to
    APPR. (not as expected)
    Expected RESULT: This should not happen. The reserved part is
    still unavailable and the work order should have stayed at WMATL
    status.
