IJ10665: IN A MULTI-LANGUAGE ENVIRONMENT YORN PARAMETERS DO NOT DEFAULT PROPERLY

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In an environment that has multipl languages, defaults set for
  YorN parameters do not work properly for languages other than
  the base language.
  
  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  In a environment with two or mor languages (in my case I used an
  environment with English and French as second language).
  Go to -> Report Administration
  pick the report security_group.rptdesign
  in the Report tab, go to Parameters section and expand
  "independent".
  In the Default Value field, update from false to true or 1.
  Go back to the list view and click in the "Generate Request
  Page".
  Try to Run the report. The value will be "Y" for Independent?
  
  Go back to Maximo application. Click in Profile in the top menu
  and
  select "Default Information". Update Language and Locale value
  with the
  second language you have on your environment (in my case,
  french).
  
  Logout from Maximo application and log in again.
  Try to run the same report. The value will be "N" for
  Independent?
  
  RESULTS: chosen default not applied
  EXPECTED RESULTS:   Default should apply regardless of user
  language

  Maximo Asset Management 7.6.0.8
