IJ09637: TACMD LISTSYSTEMS COMMAND FAILS TO RETURN LIST OF SYSTEMS

APAR status

• Closed as Permanent restriction.

Error description

• The 'tacmd listsystems' command will fail to return a list of
  systems when there are more than 200 Universal Agents connected
  to a single RTEMS.
  

Local fix

• Decrease the number of Universal Agents connected to the Remote
  TEMS below the 200 threshold.
  

Problem summary

• Executing the command
  tacmd listSystems -t UM
  for more than 201 Universal Agents results in an error returned
  to the user.
  

Problem conclusion

• The listsystems command supports a maximum output listing of 201
  Universal Agents and their subnodes.  This limitation was not,
  and will not be removed. Starting with the 06.30.00
  release of IBM Tivoli Monitoring product user custom Agents
  based on the Universal Agent have been deprecated.
  
  
  Users should consider replacing their Custom Agents
  which are based on the Universal Agent, with those built using
  the IBM Tivoli Monitoring Agent Builder.
  
  Unlike Universal Agents,  Agent Builder agents do not have any
  listsystems output restrictions.
