APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Problem Description: Unable to issue an item in Inventory Usage
    which has two condition codes. Inventory usage does not allow to
    complete issue which has item number with two condition codes.
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    1.Go to Condition Codes application
    2.Create the news codes to SET1
    RFB - Refurbished - Rate=50
    CORE - Core Salvage - Rate=10
    QRTN - Quarantined - Rate=0
    3.Save
    4.Go to Item Master application
    5.Create a new Item
    6.Select 'Condition Enabled' flag
    7.Lot Type as NOLOT
    8.ORDER UNIT and ISSUE UNIT as EACH
    9.In condition Codes section enter NEW,RFB,CORE and QRTN
    conditons code
    10.Change status to ACTIVE
    11.SELECT ACTION >> ADD ITEMS TO STOREROOM
    12.Add to PKG storerrom
    13.Go to Inventory application
    14.Bring up the item created
    15.Enter Default BIN (i.e A-5-2)
    16.In Inventory Costs section enter the condition code
    (NEW,RFB,CORE,QRTN)
    17.In Inventory Balances section create two lines
    -Line 1
    BIN=A-5-2
    Condition Code=NEW
    Current Balance=1
    Physical Count=1
    -Line 2
    BIN=A-5-2
    Condition Code=RFB
    Current Balance=1
    Physical Count=1
    18.Save
    19.Go to Inventory Usage application
    20.Create a new Inv usage
    21.Usage Type as MIXED
    22.FROM Storeroom as PKG
    23.Create two Usage Lines
    -Line 1
    Item created in step 5
    Usage Type=ISSUE
    From BIN=A-5-2
    Condition Code=NEW
    Quantity=1
    To Site=BEDFORD
    GL Debit Account=6000-200-000
    -Line 2
    Item created in step 5
    Usage Type=ISSUE
    From BIN=A-5-2
    Condition Code=RFB
    Quantity=1
    To Site=BEDFORD
    GL Debit Account=6000-200-000
    24.Save
    25.Change status to COMPLETE
    
    RESULTS: Receive the following error when trying to
    complete an inventory usage with positive balance.
    
    BMXAA3496E - Trouble processing item XXX. Cause: The balance in
    the bin will become negative as a result of this transaction.
    
    EXPECTED RESULTS: Should be able to complete the
    inventory usage once there is a positive balance.

Problem conclusion

  • This is fixed in code.
