Error description

  • PROBLEM: Current when we load the TreeGrid data from the
    server, and an error happens on the server, then the end user
    only gets "TreeGrid Data Cannot be Displayed yellow Box", and
    while we log the original error in the log, the end user never
    sees it. Just need to went to Maximo Log to get that.
    PRECONDITIONS:
    - Have some missing setup like using an calendar expired
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    1-) Go to the Graphical Scheduling or Assignment
    2-) Setup the required fields including the Shift and Calendar
    Expired
    3-) Move to the Graphical View tab
    PROBLEM: The user will see the Yellow Box error.
    EXPECTED RESULT: If the error on the Server is a MXException we
    will allow it to bubble up to the Maximo UI.
    If the Error is NOT a MXException we will wrap the error into
    an Unknown Exception error and show that in the UI.
    

Local fix

  • Get logs at Maximo Application Server.
