Error description

  • PROBLEM:  UNABLE TO RE-SCHEDULE ASSIGNMENT IN GRAPHICAL
    SCHEDULING APPLICATION
    PERFORMANCE ISSUE: N/A
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    - Create new WO record (eg, 1234) for a given Location
    - Enter Target Start date + Target Finish date + Scheduled
    Start date +
    Sched Finish date (all of them for 17 Jan 2018)
    - Enter a Task 10 for this WO.
    - Enter Planned Labor (eg 3 hours)
    - Save and approve the WO
    - Create a new query in Work Order Tracking for this WO (eg,
    WO1234)
    - Go to Graphical Scheduling
    - Create a new record with Type=WORK with a Calendar + Shift
    - Go to Work Queries and  Copy Query  and select the query
    created above
    - Go to the Gantt View tab
    - The rows for the Task WO and main WO show Start/ End date =
    17 Jan
    2018
    - Check box for that Task WO row and right-click on Description
    field
    - Select Reschedule/Unassign Assignments
    - Change date to 20 Jan 2018 ( Reschedule the
    assignments?  is
    checked by default)
    - The rows for the Task WO and main WO now show Start/ End date
    = 17
    Jan 2018
    - Select Action / Commit Changes
    - Go to Work Order Tracking and select the same WO created
    previously
    - The Target Start date + Target Finish date + Scheduled Start
    date +
    Sched Finish date fields all still show 17 Jan 2018.
    - Go back to Graphical Scheduling
    - Set  Preserve Schedule Start Dates?  field to unchecked
    - Go to Gantt View and change the date for the Task WO row to
    22 Jan
    2018 ( Reschedule the assignments?  is checked by default)
    - The rows for the Task WO and main WO now show Start/ End date
    = 22

    - Select Action / Commit Changes
    - Go to Work Order Tracking and select the same WO created
    previously
    - The Target Start date + Target Finish date + Scheduled Start
    date +
    Sched Finish date fields all still show 17 Jan 2018
    CURRENT ERRONEOUS RESULT:  unable to re-schedule assignment.
    start and end dates do not get updated in the "Graphical View"
    tab.  For existing schedule, re-scheduling assignment do not
    update duration
    EXPECTED RESULT:  should be able to re-schedule assignments
