APAR status

Error description

  • Steps to replicate:
    Example:
    * File Name: What'sTulips.jpg
    - Create a File attachment for this file in Maximo.
    - then go to Attachments icon and click on the relevant
    filename.
      * The URL generated by Maximo for the attachment is:
      http://<host>//ATTACHMENTS/What&%23039;sTulips.jpg
    - You get a 'Page cannot be displayed' message
    - The file cannot be displayed due to the wrong URL which does
    not match the actual name of the file located in the DOCLINKS
    folder.
    -  change the URL to match the actual filename:
    http://<host>//ATTACHMENTS/What'sTulips.jpg
    -  The file shows correctly in the browser tab.
    Similar encoding issues are found with other special characters
    too, such as parenthesis, asterisk, ampersand, percent symbols,
    etc. as well.
