IJ00335: EXISTING ATTACHMENT REMOVED WHEN USE CLICKS ON CANCEL BUTTON

APAR status

Error description

  • In catalog request, when user clicks Cancel on Create a File
    Attachment dialog, all the attachments added earlier will be
    deleted.
    
    STEPS TO RECREATE:
    1. Go to Self Service Center application
    2. Request a new Service
    3. From a menu on the left, go to Server Systems Management ->
    Build New Standard Server Image
    4. Open a dialog 'Add a new file' form clip icon
    5. Select a file and upload it
    6. Open a dialog  'Add a new file' from clip icon again
    7. Click Cancel without selecting any file
    8. Click View attachments from the clip icon
    9. The file uploaded at step 5 is not displayed in the list
    
    Reproducible in  ICD 7601/7602/7603 having TPAE 7603/7606/7608
    respectively.
    
    This behavior is almost similar to the issue in APAR IV92656,
    but this issue is only observed in catalog request's
    attachment. The fix should be implemented in the same TPAE
    RegisterDocBean class.

Problem conclusion

  • Customer given an LAFix for 7.6.0.3 and issue fixed in 7.6.0.8
    plus 7.6-CD for future releases
