IC95849: INDEPENDENT HEALTH CHECK DOES NOT START AFTER ITS DOMAIN IS ENABLED AFTER A RESTART

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If a domain is disabled during restart and is enabled
    afterwards, Health Checks are not started if option
    "Independent Health Check" is enabled.
    

Local fix

  • 1) trigger an ?Independent Health Check? restart manually after
    reboot, by disabling/enabling Health Check in the Load Balancer
    Group
    2) do not enable "Independent Health Check"
    

Problem summary

  • Affected are appliances configured to use Load Balancer Groups
    with the Independent Health Check feature.
    
    When the router starts with an admin-state disabled domain
    containing a Load Balancer Group using Independent Health
    Checks, enabling the domain later does not resume the checks.
