APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When matching on a specific XPath expression a valid
Response message might be considered invalid and throw a parse
    error.
This same Response will succeed on a match all
    action.

Local fix

  • Change request type from JSON to Non-XML.

In case __JSONASJSONX context is used in a rule as input by
some action, add a "Convert Query Params to XML" action with
input INPUT and output "__JSONASJSONX" in front of the rule.

Problem summary

  • Affected is the use of a service with JSON request type and XML
    or SOAP reponse type.

If there is at least one response rule with an XPath matching
action, then a correct XML response might generate a parse
    error.

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix
