Error description

  • In cases where data which initially exists in a deduplicated
pool, is moved out of that pool to another pool (deduped or not)
and then is moved back into the original pool, invalidated links
may result. The invalidated links will surface with the ANR4895E
message which is issued when the files, that own
the invalidated links, is attempted to be moved or copied.
ANR4895E Deduplicated bitfile XXXXXXXXX on volume
    /xxxxx/xxxxx.bfs has invalid links.

Any subsquent attempt to move, or copy, that file will result in
a message indicating that the file(s) has been marked as damaged
    - ANR1165W.
    Customer/L2 Diagnostics (if applicable)
If the data movement scenario, as described above, has been
encountered, the VALIDATE EXTENTS utility can be used
to proactively check for invalidated links. This utility will
check for invalidated links, and if found, will mark the file(s)
as damaged such that they can be restored from an available
    copy pool.

    VALIDATE EXTENTS <DEDUP POOL> ACTION=MARKDAMAGED
