Error description

  • IBM WebSphere DataPower Appliance

    Firmware 3.8.2.7

When the domain is restarted, some configuration objects and/or
information may get duplicated. An example will be, the Web
Service Proxy (WS-Proxy) may show duplicate local endpoint
handler entries under the Endpoint Handler Summary from the
WebGUI. The processing policy for the WS-Proxy may also show
    duplicate processing rules.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • The user was observing duplicate local, remote handlers and
duplicate processing rules for some web service proxy objects if
a domain was restarted immediately after the domain
configuration was saved. The problem was caused by a delay in
the web service proxy object, which resulted in a failure to
release the current instance of this object upon a domain
    restart.

Problem conclusion

  • The fix will be available in a future major release.
