FlashSystem Code Recommendations
Content
The recommendations below are to assist clients in implementing a code update strategy. Generally, clients should upgrade to the highest recommended code stream available to obtain the latest fixes and features. Clients should not upgrade to minimum code levels. Systems do not have to upgrade if they are at or above the minimum code level.
For a customized recommendation, which takes into account business upgrade windows, length of time since last update, decommission plans, etc., clients may require assistance from local support teams. When notified of a new release, IBM recommends evaluating the need to upgrade by reviewing the release notes and the recommended code levels on this web page. The word "must", in the notes below, refers to code resolving specific problems for a targeted subset of FlashSystem systems and is communicated via My Notifications to clients.
