Explanation

The CWBSY1012 message is being thrown because the client has the IBM i Navigator "Signon information" property and/or ODBC Datasource "Default user ID" property set to "Use Kerberos principal name, no prompting" when Kerberos has not been set up on the System i system server.

Resolution

Check the following locations to determine if "Use Kerberos principal name, no prompting" is selected.

o IBM System i Navigator:
Right-click on the system under "My Connections", and select "Properties". On the "Connection" tab, change the "Signon information" property to a value other than "Use Kerberos principal name. no prompting".

o ODBC Administration:
Go to "Start -> Programs -> IBM i Access for Windows -> ODBC Administration". Select the datasource being used. Then, click on "Configure...". On the "General" Tab, click on "Connection Options". Then, change the "Default user ID" property to a value other than "Use Kerberos principal".
