APAR Error Description / Circumvention

-----------------------------------------------
New Features:
1. The administrative domain's monitored resource entry limit
has increased by over 340% to support up to 200,000 monitored
resource entries, enabling support for the largest environments.
2. The WRKCADMRE command is enhanced with new parameters that
enable filtering based on several criteria, including monitored
resource, library, resource type, and global status. These
filters can be combined and support generic wildcards.
3. The Add Cluster Administrative Domain Monitored Resource
Entry (ADDCADMRE) command has been enhanced to support *ALL and
wildcards on the monitored resource and library parameters. In
addition, an omit parameter has been added. These new options
are supported for user profiles, authorization lists, classes,
job descriptions and subsystem descriptions. Now, many resources
can be added to the administrative domain with a single command,
simplifying administrative domain setup.

Enhancements:
1. Support for replicating encrypted passwords set with the
QSYSUPWD API. Previously, the use of the QSYSUPWD API would
cause the user-affected profile to be marked as inconsistent
within the administrative domain.
2. Improved control over changing the synchronization option for
an administrative domain using the CHGCAD command even when some
nodes in the administrative domain are inactive.
3. The WRKCADMRE command has been enhanced to work even when
clustering is inactive. With this function, users can view
monitored resources within an administrative domain on a local
node even during maintenance windows.
4. Integrated and streamlined recovery from a data-center outage
in a HyperSwap with a LUN-level switching environment that
enables HyperSwap protection to be restored with a single
command.
5. Confirmation panels in PowerHA have been enhanced to use F16
instead of enter for confirm.
6. Several PowerHA work panels have been enhanced to show both
error and completion messages at the bottom of the panel upon
execution of actions on the work panel.
(WRKHAPCY,WRKASPCPYD,WRKHACFGD,WRKHYSSTS,Work with cluster
resource groups)
7. A status of detached for Copy Services Manager Sessions has
been enhanced to display as XXXX instead of blanks for
consistency and ease of understanding.
8. CHGCRGCNR switch type of *SAMESITE behavior has been improved
to be more consistent in handling of ordering of the recovery
domain.
9. User queue and user space objects used for PowerHA operation
have been moved from the QGPL library to the QUSRHASM library.
10. Function key 'F13=Release notes' has been added to the
WRKCLU menu to show
the release notes for the PowerHA product.

Other fixes:
1. DSPSVCCPYD with the output *PRINT option, now includes the
node field which previously was only shown with interactive
displayed output.
2. The WRKHAPCY screen now allows option 1=ADD to be specified
on any entry containing policy names, making it easier to add a
specific policy without needing to type the entire name of the
policy.
3. The Remove HA Policy confirmation panel now wraps text for
long policy commands, rather than truncating the displayed
value.
4. WRKCLU option 9, work with cluster resource groups (CRGs) has
a simplified display for CRG containers indenting CRGs that are
managed by a container.
5. DSPHYSSTS with the output *PRINT option now includes the
synchronization status column which was previously only shown
with interactive displayed output.
6. Error messages for the Change CSM Session (CHGCSMSSN) command
have been enhanced with additional information as to the current
session state and why the given operation is not allowed.
7. When performing WRKHAPCY at cluster version less than 9, a
diagnostic message was incorrectly being displayed in the joblog
that the request was not compatible with the current cluster
version.
8. When performing a refresh of the DSPCSMSSN command after
clustering has ended, an MCH0601 would occur. This has been
corrected to correctly show CPFBB26: Cluster Resource Services
not active or not responding.
9. WRKCLU option 9 when no cluster is defined would give a
CPF6A38 - Variable record CNSIS02RCD not defined in panel group.
This has been corrected so that the panel works even when there
is no cluster defined.
10. In geographic mirroring environments in some instances the
vary state of the mirror copy independent ASP on DSPASPSSN
incorrectly would show as unknown when a geographic mirroring
session contained multiple independent ASPs.
11. Previously in some instances PowerHA did not release locks
on panel group QGYASPDSSN or panel group QGYASPWCPY. This has
been corrected so that the locks are released once the panels
are closed.
12. Padded spaces truncated from PowerHA confirmation panels for
easier readability
13. The performance of DSPCRGINF was corrected as previously
subsequent F5=Refresh on the DSPCRGINF screen resulted in longer
refresh times.

CORRECTION FOR APAR SE72414 :
-----------------------------
PowerHA SystemMirror for i has been enhanced with new
functionality and corrected to fix the problems indicated.

CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR SE72414 :
--------------------------------
None.

DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM FIXED FOR APAR SE71819 :
-----------------------------------------------
PowerHA is not correctly supporting multiple incremental
FlashCopy with certain DS8000 code levels.

CORRECTION FOR APAR SE71819 :
-----------------------------
PowerHA SystemMirror for i has been corrected to support
multiple incremental FlashCopy at DS8000 code bundle 7.4 and
higher.

CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR SE71819 :
--------------------------------
None.

DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM FIXED FOR APAR SE72158 :
-----------------------------------------------
RTVSVCSSN returning unknown when the storage state is consistent
copying

CORRECTION FOR APAR SE72158 :
-----------------------------
In an SVC Global Mirror with change volumes environment when the
session storage state was 'consistent copying', the RTVSVCSSN
command was returning unknown for the storage state. This is
corrected to now correctly show the storage state as 'consistent
copying'.

CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR SE72158 :
--------------------------------
None.

DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM FIXED FOR APAR SE72209 :
-----------------------------------------------
When in a Geographic Mirror environment, if the replication is
either Suspended or Detached and the mirror target's IASP is
Varied Off, the DSPASPSSN may return an invalid value.

The value will be represented correctly once the ASP session is
Resumed or Reattached.

Code will be enhanced so that while in the above states, the
values will accurately reflect the real state of the target
IASP.

CORRECTION FOR APAR SE72209 :
-----------------------------
PowerHA has been corrected to accurately reflect the correct
state instead of VARYONPEND in these instances where the session
is suspended or detached.

CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR SE72209 :
--------------------------------
None.

DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM FIXED FOR APAR SE72375 :
-----------------------------------------------
When performing a flashcopy using STRASPSSN and specifying
PERSISTENT(*NO), there is still a parm being passed to the
storage as part of the mkflash script, coming from PowerHA that
is not honoring the requested PERSISTENT(*NO). This results in
lsflash still showing a flashcopy relationship even after the
flashcopy has reached 100% copied. When a full copy flashcopy
has reached 100%, lsflash should return "No flashcopy found."

CORRECTION FOR APAR SE72375 :
-----------------------------
PowerHA has been corrected to honor the PERSISTENT(*NO)
parameter on STRASPSSN for FlashCopy

CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR SE72375 :
--------------------------------
None.
