APAR Error Description / Circumvention
-----------------------------------------------
An attempt to save one specific object in library QSYS, QSYS2,
or SYSIBM with the SAVOBJ command fails if SETASPGRP was done
earlier.
CPF3770 No objects saved or restored for library &1.
CORRECTION FOR APAR SE69214 :
-----------------------------
SAVOBJ will be updated to find and save the specified object in
library QSYS, QSYS2, or SYSIBM.
CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR SE69214 :
--------------------------------
Specify a generic object name, more than one object name or
object type, or object type *ALL on the SAVOBJ command.
Activation Instructions
None.

THE FOLLOWING ARE SUPERSEDED SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS. IF THE SUPERSEDED
PTF HAS ALREADY BEEN APPLIED AND ITS SPECIAL INSTRUCTION FOLLOWED,
IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO FOLLOW THAT SPECIAL INSTRUCTION AGAIN.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUPERSEDED PTF SI50763 :
=================================================
The Restore Library (RSTLIB) and Restore Object (RSTOBJ) functions will
be updated to defer the start journal requests for objects with a
missing journal, if a value is specified for the Defer ID (DFRID)
parameter.
When the journals are available, the deferred start journal requests
can be processed by using the Restore Deferred Objects (RSTDFROBJ)
command.
The deferred start journal requests will be processed automatically by
the RESTORE menu options 21, 22, and 23, and by the RSTLIB command if
*NONSYS, *ALLUSR, or *IBM is specified for the SAVLIB parameter.
The description of deferred objects is updated to include:
o Logical files when based-on files are missing. A deferred logical
file does not exist on the system until the restore is complete.
o SQL materialized query tables (MQTs) when based-on files are
missing. A deferred MQT exists on the system, but any functions
that are performed on the MQT that require access to the based-on
files will fail.
o Start journal requests for file (*FILE), data area (*DTAARA),
data queue (*DTAQ), and library (*LIB) objects when journals
are missing. When deferred objects are processed, journaling
is started if the journals are available.
New values will be added for the RSODFR (Defer Status) field in the
outfile for the RSTLIB, RSTOBJ, and RSTDFROBJ commands. The updated
description of this field is:
Defer status
Indicates whether the object is deferred. The possible values are:
'0' The object is not deferred.
'1' The object is deferred.
It is dependent on a missing file, missing journal, or both.
'2' The file dependency of the deferred object is complete.
'3' The object is deferred. It is dependent on a missing file.
'4' The journal dependency of the deferred object is complete.
The object is now journaled.
'5' The object is deferred.
It is not journaled because it is dependent on a missing journal.
When a deferred start journal request is processed, a journal entry is
recorded for the start journal operation, but no journal entries are
recorded for the restore object or create object operations.
If a Defer ID is specified when restoring an object into a journaled
library that has a *RESTORE inherit rule defined, the Defer ID takes
precedence. That is, if the journal that the object was journaled to
when it was saved does not exist, the start journal request will be
deferred, and the *RESTORE inherit rule will not be used.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUPERSEDED PTF SI50231 :

This PTF replaces the Save Library (SAVLIB) and Restore Library
(RSTLIB) commands in library QSYS. If you previously changed any
default values of the parameters for these commands, use the Change
Command Default (CHGCMDDFT) command to make your changes again after
applying this PTF.
Default Instructions
THIS PTF CAN BE APPLIED IMMEDIATE OR DELAYED.
