APAR Error Description / Circumvention
-----------------------------------------------
A customer reported that when generating TIFF output via Host
Print Transform, the partial pages are positioned lower than
full pages. His application that consumes the TIFF output
requires each page to positioned the same in order to function
correctly.
CORRECTION FOR APAR SE62215 :
-----------------------------
Technically, the output from the QWPTIFFG4 and QWPTIFFPB WSCST
objects is an image and does not carry any position information.
The raster images have always been trimmed to the smallest
possible rectangle that contains all the non-while pixels. As a
result, partial pages result in smaller image size which appear
to be positioned lower in viewers.
To resolve this issue, the QWPZRM service program will be
modified to allow the user to specify that images not be
trimmed. In this mode, the resulting images will be the size of
the paper size as calculated by HPT. To enable this mode, the
following tag, with the exact values shown must be added to the
TIFF WSCST object used.
:FAXSIZXFM.
:FAXSIZE
DRAWER = 0
IMGWTH = 0
IMGLEN = 0.
