APAR Error Description / Circumvention
-----------------------------------------------
Disaster recovery processing can encounter MSGCPF3706 failures
related to QSYS2/SYSLIMTBL or QSYS2/SYSIXADV files. The saved
version of FILE SYSLIMTBL or SYSIXADV is not compatible with the
current system version in QSYS2.
CORRECTION FOR APAR SE59288 :
-----------------------------
The SYSLIMTBL & SYSIXADV files are created based upon system
activity. During a disaster recovery, these files could be
created prior to the restore of the QSYS2 library. When this
occurs, the restore of QSYS2 could encounter a problem if the
format of the existing file differs from the format of the file
on the saved media.
The SYSLIMTBL or SYSIXADV processing has been changed to
recognize when BOSS OPTION 1 is not installed. When BOSS OPTION
1 is not installed, these files will not be created. This means
that prior to BOSS OPTION 1 install, no System Limits or Index
Advice will be registered. By avoiding creation of these files,
we will avoid the potential conflict in file formats and
therefore not cause DR to fail.
