APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The script took an error but didn't set a non-zero return
code, so the APPLY of the PTF didn't fail. This caused
/usr/lpp/ihsa_zos to not contain the needed product code.

Local fix

  • Use REGION=0M on the APPLY job.

In this case, the REGION size of the APPLY job was too small
and the jar command failed to unjar the file but didn't report
an error. The script took an error but didn't set a non-zero
return code, so the APPLY of the PTF didn't fail. This caused
/usr/lpp/ihsa_zos to not contain the needed product code.
