APAR status

Error description

  • When the user password policy is set, and we use pwdadm
    command to change the user password via ssh session,
    if the ssh session is killed the pwdadm process is not
    terminated accordingly but keeping running, and consuming
    high CPU.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • As the process is not terminated properly and keeps running it
    consumes high CPU
    

Problem conclusion

  • adding  a default signal handler to handle the SIGHUP
