Error description

  • If the PVID of a disk changes due to some action other than

Local fix

Problem summary

  • If the PVID of a disk changes due to some action other than
a chdev -l hdiskX -a pv=yes operation on the local node, then
the lspv command may show a stale PVID value for the disk

Problem conclusion

  • Modified the disk configuration method to update the ODM
(where lspv gets the PVID value from) on the config of the disk
if the value in ODM does not match what is on the disk. If
it is suspected that the PVID of a disk has changed, doing
rmdev/mkdev on the disk will update the PVID value in ODM
    once this fix is installed.
