APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When LANG is not english i.e Ja_JP OR any other locale
trustchk -y <library path> will fails with errors
and will return 114.

Local fix

  • LC_ALL=C trustchk -y <lib_name>

Problem summary

  • trustchk may fail to identify the given file as
library for non-english locales.

Problem conclusion

  • The file type has been properly checked before verifying the
file attributes.
