Error description

  • When a multibyte character appears in the command field
of crontab file entry and the multibyte character
    encoding
    includes 0x5c (e.g. IBM-943 0x945c),the cron daemon
misinterprets 0x5c (the 2nd byte of multibyte character)
as a backslash which has special meaning per cron/crontab
documentation This causes the command named in the
    command
    field be misinterpreted.
