Error description

  • Currently man page for CORE_NAMING variable contains the
following information:
Unique core file naming will only be enabled if the
environment variable CORE_NAMING is exported.
The default name is core as in previous releases.
The value of the variable should be set to true.

The value of the variable does not matter, it is enough
to only export the variable.

Local fix

  • N/A

Problem summary

  • By only exporting the corenaming variable,unique core filename
was observed which is not in acordance with the manpage,which
says it should be set to true.

Problem conclusion

  • Changes done in code so that now only on exporting the
corenaming variable to true, we will observe unique core
filename.
