APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The disrmtdmns script will incorrectly set tftpd,
    rlogind,
and rshd's permissions to 4555 if run in enable mode
(such as with the dls_disrmtdmns rule).

When running 'aixpert -c', it might also log an error
     message such as:

    disrmtcmds.sh: File /usr/sbin/tftpd has permission 555,
     however it should be 4555

The script name is wrong (disrmtcmds is a different
script), and tftpd's permissions are not supposed to
    be 4555.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • aixpert disrmtdmns script sets the file permissions
incorrectly for rlogind, rshd and tftpd daemons when
    enabling aixpert default level settings.

Problem conclusion

  • The permissions are handled properly.
