Error description

  • ksh93 read proves to be not reentrant and if read
    is used with alarm in script, the ksh93 core dumps
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • When read is used with input field separator and alarm set
    in ksh93 script, the ksh93 might core dump.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Code changes has been done to handle alarm correctly
    while processing read command in ksh93.
