Error description

  • Migrating a TCB enabled system from 6100-08-01 to
7100-01-02
running the command
# tcbck -n ALL
3001-022 The file /usr/sbin/backsnap is the wrong file
type.

Local fix

  • Remove the stanza from the /etc/security/sysck.cfg file.

Problem summary

  • backsnap command change, caused migration problem from 61 to
71.  backsnap file type has changed from symbolic link to
binary file in 61 releases and it is of type symbolic link in
71 releases. This caused the migration issue.
