  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • For this problem to occur some sort of I/O error
should put the file-system in a degraded or
    read-only state.
Mostly ,in addition, there has to be
some memory pressure that causes inodes to get
recycled. (This can be due to a large number
of inodes being used, or a DR event that
moves memory away from the LPAR).

System would crash with an assert in iGetRef or
    iActivate.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • System crashes in iGetRef or iActivate.

Problem conclusion

  • If the inode recycle fails, reset the state of the inode.
