APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • After applying IV38251 suspending a process using PCSEXIT
will return an EAGAIN return code but it does not get
handled correctly. Therefore opening /proc/<PID>/psinfo
will cause error.

Local fix

  • N/A

Problem summary

  • Fields in the /proc/<pid>/psinfo file can be 0s if the process
being examined is execing.  Reading other /proc files may
return an error if the process being examined is execing.

Problem conclusion

  • Readers of /proc files wait if the examined process is execing.
