IJ39049: THRESHOLD SERVICE STUCK IN DISABLED STATE AFTER MMHEALTH CONFIG MONITOR PAUSE/RESUME

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When running mmhealth config monitor pause,
  followed by a mmhealth config monitor resume,
  the THRESHOLD component will stay in DISABLED state.
  

Local fix

• Execute the command "mmsysmonc enable thresholds"

Problem conclusion

• This problem is fixed in 5.1.2 PTF 4

  Benefits of the solution:
  The status of the threshold service by node health
  monitoring with mmhealth command will be reported correctly.
  
  Work around:
  Execute the command "mmsysmonc enable thresholds"
  
  Problem trigger:
  The issue occurs only if the node health monitoring
  was paused and resumed again.
  
  Symptom: Error output/message
