Problem summary
AFM Prefetch with --dir-list-file option where the list contains encoded directory names is not being processed and queued.
Problem conclusion
This problem is fixed in 5.1.2 PTF 4 To see all Spectrum Scale APARs and their respective fix solutions refer to page https://public.dhe.ibm.com/storage/spectrumscale/spectrum_scale apars.html Benefits of the solution: Will be able to run prefetch with --dir-list-file option where the list can contain encoded names of directories - as generated by checkUncached checks. Work around: Decode the directory list by hand and feed it to prefetch. Problem trigger: Running prefetch ( with or without --metadata-only option) using a list of encoded directory names - like the one generated from checkUncached (during mmchfileset command run). Symptom: Unexpected behavior. Platforms affected: All Linux OS environments (AFM Gateway nodes) Functional Area affected: AFM Customer Impact: High Importance
Temporary fix
