Problem summary
Ubuntu machines are reported with a network health issue of "ib_rdma_libs_wrong_path", even when the required libraries are installed.
Problem conclusion
This problem is fixed in 5.1.2 PTF 1 To see all Spectrum Scale APARs and their respective fix solutions refer to page https://public.dhe.ibm.com/storage/spectrumscale/spectrum_scale_ apars.html Benefits of the solution: Additional Ubuntu/Debian created paths are checked when searching for the libraries. This avoids misleading reports. Work around: Not available. Problem trigger: Since Debian/Ubuntu introduced Multiarch Architecture Specifiers, most libraries live in a /usr/lib/XXXX-linux-gnu/ directory (where XXXX describes the architecture). The initial check procedure considered only the usual library paths, like /usr/lib64 and /usr/lib. Symptom: Error output/message Platforms affected: All Ubuntu/Debian Linux OS environments using Infiniband/RDMA Functional Area affected: System Health Customer Impact: Low
