Error description
CIMS won't come up when the task is started. This applies to batch processing as well. It ABENDS with the following msgs: . ELR8005S SSI return code = 10 ELR8011S HPTS subsystem abending ELR8059I HPTS sussystem termination completed ELR8019I MVS resource Manager IEF450I CIMS CIMS - abend=S000 u0099 reason=00000000 .
Local fix
This problem is caused by the fact that when CIMS goes through the SSID table ( sub system id ) it checks to see that the host job entry subsystem is present. In other words it looks for JES2, or JES3 to be in the SSID table. If it is not found this check fails, and CIMS comes down as described above. This problem was caused by another software program, that inserted itself into the SSID chain, and removed the JES2 entry. The software that did this in this case, is the CANDLE Product. Verify the SSID table, and if JES is in the table when bringing up CIMS then contact the support center. If JES is missing from the table, then correct this error and try to bring CIMS up again.
