    * Information in this APAR is obsolete and is no *
    * longer being maintained. Electronic Technical *
    * Response (ETR) functions should be created through the *
    * IBM Service Request (SR) application. How to access *
    * and create SRs can be found at the following URL: *

How to convert an existing PMR into ETR for electronic mode:
    1. Logon to Servicelink in the web.
    2. Select ETR option.
    3. Select "List ETR records" for "My account" then click SUBMIT
       button.
    4. Select the ETR to convert and then click ASSIGN option.
    5. Enter IBMLINK userid to assign the PMR and click CONTINUE
       option.
    6. The PMR has now been converted.
    Notes:
    1) The email address used to access Servicelink is not the
same as your IBMLINK userid. If necessary, open an IBMLINK
       account to obtain an userid.
Similarly, your IBM ID which is used to log into ServiceLink
is not your IBMLink ID. You can find your IBMLink ID by
viewing the "signature" lines designating your updates in
       ETRs.

    2) The other option is to supply us your email address for
correspondence by email. When sending PMR updates by email,
please specify the PMR number in subject line in the form
of 'PMR pppppp, bbb, ccc' where pppppp is the PMR#, bbb is the
branch office, and ccc is the country code (000 for United
States). Also, specify the following email addresses for the
       recipients:
       a) mvs_support@mainz.ibm.com
       b) tcpdoc@us.ibm.com
