Instructions for installing IBM InfoSphere Information Server 11.5.0.2. Service Pack 6

Abstract

This readme document contains guidance for the installation of 11.5.0.2 Service Pack 6 package available on Fix Central.

PRE-REQUISITES

  • If you are using the MIS service, the IBM Java Development Kit (JDK) must be at version 1.8 on all client nodes.   The JDK should be updated before installing this Service Pack.  If for some reason the JDK has not been updated before installing the Service Pack, please refer to Tech Note Updating JDK Post Install for instructions on how to update the JDK and properly re-register the updated MIS service  The Java 1.8 JDK is available a co-requisite patch with 11.5.0.2 SP6.  It should only be installed to support MIS and does not replace Java 1.7 for the rest of the Information Server suite.

CO-REQUISITES
The step below is a CO-REQUISITE and items must be installed in the order presented:
  • The following PATCHES are required to be installed for support of incremental import.  The CAS patch is mandatory and the others are needed as per DB usage:

JR60293 - is11500-11502_ccdb2_JR60293_engine_all  
JR60298 - is11500-11502_ccnz_JR60298_engine_all  
JR60596 - is11500-11502_cc-oracle_JR60596_engine_linux64 
JR60592 - is11500-11502_cc-teradata_JR60592_engine_linux64

JR60306 - is11500-11502_JR60306_cas_server_engine_all  

CONTENT
Service Pack 6 is comprised of separate files for each platform supported by IBM InfoSphere Information Server 11.5.0.2.
