Will a NotesSQL ODBC driver for Notes Domino 9.0.X work with a Domino 10.0.X server?

Cause

Error Message

When installing or using the IBM ODBC driver for Notes/Domino 9.0 with a Domino V10 server, you get an error “setup cannot locate a supported version of the required Notes or Domino software.”

Ignoring the error message, you will get then the following error "the setup routines for the Lotus Notes SQL driver could not be loaded due to system error code 126: the specified module could not be found. C:\NotesSQL\nsqlc32.dll" when adding a new system DSN.


Answer

Currently, there is no updated version of the NotesSQL ODBC driver for Domino V10 available. IBM Product Management and HCL are investigating this matter. Updates on our progress will be made available as a Tech Note.

The current alternative to retrieving data from a Domino V10 server for use with Excel and other desktop tools is to use the DQL Explorer. You can find out about this solution here.
