Planning - Before you deploy Watson Explorer oneWEX for ICP Version 12.0.2.2
To deploy Watson Explorer oneWEX for ICP, the Persistent Volumes listed in the Resources Required section in the Watson Explorer oneWEX Helm Chart README are required unless you use dynamic persistent volume provisioning.
See Installing Watson Explorer oneWEX on IBM Cloud Private before you install Watson Explorer oneWEX for ICP Version 12.0.2.2 Also, make sure to select the proper storage type (NFS, GlusterFS, etc.) that supports the listed access mode based on the Watson Explorer oneWEX Helm Chart README.

Performing a fresh installation of Watson Explorer oneWEX for ICP
You can install Watson Explorer oneWEX for ICP Version 12.0.2.2 directly without installing Watson Explorer oneWEX for ICP Version 12.0.0 GA, Version 12.0.0.1, Version 12.0.1, Version 12.0.2 or Version 12.0.2.1. To perform a fresh installation of Watson Explorer oneWEX for ICP Version 12.0.2.2, follow the steps as described in Installing Watson Explorer oneWEX on IBM Cloud Private . Note that Watson Explorer oneWEX for ICP Version 12.0.2.2 supports ICP Version 2.1.0.3, Version 3.1.1 and Version 3.1.2 with fresh installation.
Upgrading to Watson Explorer oneWEX for ICP Version 12.0.2.2 on ICP 2.0.1.3 or 3.1.2
Following scenarios are supported to upgrade to Watson Explorer oneWEX for ICP Version 12.0.2.2 on ICP Version 2.0.1.3 or Version 3.1.2.
- Upgrade from Watson Explorer oneWEX for ICP Version 12.0.2.1 on ICP Version 2.1.0.3 to Watson Explorer oneWEX for ICP Version 12.0.2.2 on ICP Version 2.1.0.3.
- Upgrade from Watson Explorer oneWEX for ICP Version 12.0.2.1 on ICP Version 2.1.0.3, Version 3.1.0 or Version 3.1.1 to Watson Explorer oneWEX for ICP Version 12.0.2.2 on ICP Version 3.1.2. For this scenario only the path of upgrading ICP first, then oneWEX is supported.
Upgrading Watson Explorer oneWEX for ICP
To upgrade Watson Explorer oneWEX for ICP Version 12.0.2.1 to Version 12.0.2.2:

Install oneWEX for ICP Version 12.0.2.2 with following steps 3-6 in Installing Watson Explorer oneWEX on IBM Cloud Private .

Change the value of
allowPrivilegeEscalationof PodSecurityPolicy which the oneWEX service account uses fromfalsetotrue. -
Upgrade helm release of oneWEX for ICP to Version 12.0.2.2. See "Upgrade Helm release version" in Managing Helm releases .

Performing a fresh installation of Watson Explorer Analytical Components Version 12.0.2.2
You cannot install Watson Explorer Analytical Components Version 12.0.2.2 directly without installing Watson Explorer Analytical Components Version 12.0.2 GA . To perform a fresh installation of Watson Explorer Analytical Components Version 12.0.2.2, you must install Watson Explorer Analytical Components Version 12.0.2 first and apply the Fix Pack 2. Follow the steps as described in Installing Watson Explorer Content Analytics for Analytical Components.
Upgrading to Watson Explorer Analytical Components Version 12.0.2.2 or Foundational Components Version 12.0.2.2

For other versions, upgrading to Watson Explorer Version 12 is supported only from Watson Content Analytics (WCA) v3.5 to WEX Analytical Components (AC) v12, from WEX AC v11.0.2 to WEX AC v12, and from WEX Foundational Components (FC) v11.0.2 to WEX FC v12. From other versions, upgrading to WCA v3.5, WEX FC v11.0.2, or WEX AC v11.0.2 is required before upgrading to WEX Version 12.
