Question
Why are Maximo users working with non-english keyboards unable to use the numerical keypad to enter decimal separator?
Cause
When working with Regional Settings enabling the usage of comma (,) as decimal separator, Maximo users cannot use the decimal key (' . ' button) from the numerical keypad in order to enter comma symbol.
The key will enter the "point" character (.) instead of the decimal separator set up at Operating System level and in the Maximo User Settings.
This works fine with other applications as Microsoft Excel.
Answer
As a web application, Maximo doesn't have the functionality of parsing the decimal separator based on the specific local user settings. If the functionality is required, an enhancement request can be submitted here:
