Abstract

WebSphere Application Server V8.5.5 is a supporting product for WebSphere Service Registry and Repository V8.5. Upon updating to WebSphere Application Server V8.5.5 Fix Pack 14 any existing profile that uses Java SDK 6 is replaced by Java SDK 8. However WebSphere Service Registry and Repository V8.5.6.1 and earlier versions are only supported with Java SDK 6 and 7.

If using WebSphere Service Registry and Repository V8.5.6.1 or earlier with a Java SDK 6 profile do not apply WebSphere Application Service V8.5.5 Fix Pack 14. If you do require this Fix Pack, first switch to a Java SDK 7 profile. 

If you wish to use a Java SDK 8 profile you must upgrade to WSRR V8.5.6.2, which adds support for this Java version.
