This vulnerability affects the following versions of the IBM Maximo Asset Management core product, and all other IBM Maximo Industry Solution and IBM Control Desk products, regardless of their own version, if they are currently installed on top of an affected IBM Maximo Asset Management. *

Remediation/Fixes
The recommended solution is to download the appropriate Interim Fix or Fix Pack from Fix Central (What is Fix Central?) and apply for each affected product as soon as possible. Please see below for information on the fixes available for each product, version, and release. Follow the installation instructions in the ‘readme’ documentation provided with each fix pack or interim fix.

Workarounds and Mitigations
The MXAPIPERUSER object structure includes information on the users, people, and groups in Maximo. The APAR fix eliminates the requirement that all Work Center users have access to this information. The object structure is now removed from template authorizations so new groups will not automatically be granted access. However, the fix does not remove existing access.
You should remove access to the MXAPIPERUSER object structure for all groups, except in the following scenarios:
- The group has access to the Reliability Engineering Work Center prior to Maximo Asset Health Insights 7.6.0.5. In this case, keep the access or upgrade to Maximo Asset Health Insights 7.6.0.5.
- The group has access to the Administration work center. There is a legitimate business need for members of the Administrative group to have access to this information.
If any customized functionality depends on this object structure, ensure that only administrators are provided access.
