Workarounds and Mitigations
The MXAPIPERUSER object structure includes information on the users, people, and groups in Maximo. The APAR fix eliminates the requirement that all Work Center users have access to this information. The object structure is now removed from template authorizations so new groups will not automatically be granted access. However, the fix does not remove existing access.
You should remove access to the MXAPIPERUSER object structure for all groups, except in the following scenarios:
- The group has access to the Reliability Engineering Work Center prior to Maximo Asset Health Insights 184.108.40.206. In this case, keep the access or upgrade to Maximo Asset Health Insights 220.127.116.11.
- The group has access to the Administration work center. There is a legitimate business need for members of the Administrative group to have access to this information.
If any customized functionality depends on this object structure, ensure that only administrators are provided access.
