Download all of the parts that you need, including required, recommended, and/or optional.

1. Access the IBM Passport Advantage® web site (www.ibm.com/software/passportadvantage).
   Tip: If you get an error, try using a different web browser to access Passport Advantage.
2. Sign in and navigate to the software downloads page.
3. Find the eImages for your product.
   The eImage part numbers to search for are listed in this document.
4. Download an eImage by selecting the check box beside the name.
   When the download finishes, a Download Complete message displays. The location of the downloaded files displays in the message window.
5. Unpack each of the parts into a single, temporary directory on your system.
6. Follow the instructions in the IBM Planning Analytics Local Installation and Configuration documentation on IBM Knowledge Center to install the product.

IBM’s update policy for Planning Analytics

IBM maintains the source code and product documentation for Planning Analytics Workspace and Planning Analytics for Microsoft Excel by using a continuous delivery methodology, with one code base that serves both cloud and local Planning Analytics deployments. IBM produces a new version of Planning Analytics Workspace and Planning Analytics for Microsoft Excel (called a "refresh") on a periodic cadence (presently every few weeks) that contains corrective code and functional, user experience, and performance enhancements.

Following a rigorous quality assurance cycle, the refresh is first deployed to cloud customers, and at IBM’s discretion, posted to Fix Central for local deployments. For Planning Analytics Local, the continuous delivery cycle replaces the Interim Fix and Fix Pack process for Planning Analytics Workspace and Planning Analytics for Microsoft Excel. Corrective code for Planning Analytics Workspace and Planning Analytics for Microsoft Excel is delivered through the continuously delivered refreshes. All Planning Analytics Workspace and Planning Analytics for Microsoft Excel refreshes are cumulative, so if you skip a few refreshes, you will receive all "to date" corrective code and enhancements when you apply the latest refresh.
