Abstract

7.5.0-TIV-OMforMsg-FP0002 provides the latest application support for the IBM OMEGAMON for Messaging on z/OS product. Fix Pack 2 supersedes Fix Pack 1 entirely and includes the 2018 Java certificate refresh.

IBM OMEGAMON for Messaging on z/OS V750 fix pack 2 consists of the following files:

7.5.0-TIV-OMforMsg-FP0002_README.txt	Contains the README for IBM OMEGAMON for Messaging on z/OS V750 Fixpack 2.
7.5.0-TIV-OMforMsg-FP0002.tar.gz	Contains the Fix Pack 2 updates to IBM OMEGAMON for Messaging on z/OS V750 application support for TEMS, TEPS, or TEP deployed on the AIX, Linux, and Solaris platforms.
7.5.0-TIV-OMforMsg-FP0002.zip	Contains the Fix Pack 2 updates to IBM OMEGAMON for Messaging on z/OS V750 application support for TEMS, TEPS, or TEP deployed on Windows platforms.

The following PTFs supply the corresponding z/OS catalog and attribute files and can be ordered via ShopzSeries:

The PTFs contain the same level of Self-Describing Agent (SDA) data as the application support in Fix Pack 2.

Prerequisites

1. This fixpack requires IBM Tivoli Monitoring Version 6.3.0 Fix Pack 6 or later.
2. This fixpack requires z/OS PTFs UA96824 and UA96825 to be installed.

How critical is this fix?

Recommended. Fix Pack 2 provides an updated Application Support level to match SDA PTFs UA96824 and UA96825.

Problems Solved

Updates the Tivoli Certificate for OMEGAMON for Messaging V7.5.0 and corrects a problem in Fix Pack 1 with an application support version mismatch being reported in the Tivoli Enterprise Portal under some conditions.
