APAR status

  • Closed as new function.

Error description

  • This APAR provides the following enhancements:
    1. FPA Unload function, FPA Change function and ODE support a
new option to issue a warning message when SDEP is defined but
SDEP segment data would not be unloaded.
This enhancement is being implemented as a result of RFE
    requirement 38886.

    2. Multiple FP utilities provide preventive service for
    PM79037/UI17364(IMS V12) and PI07904/UI18024 (IMS V13).

Comments

  • This APAR has supported a new SDEP_BYPASS_MSGLVL keyword for:
    . FPA Unload
    . FPA Change
    . FPO ODE
When SDEP_BYPASS_MSGLVL=WARNING is specified, a warning message
is issued with a return code of 4 when SDEP is defined but SDEP
segment data would not be unloaded.
. FPA Unload function and FPA Change function issue HFPC0160W
    . ODE issues FPX0357W

Also this APAR has provided preventive service for
    PM79037/UI17364 (IMS V12), PI07904/UI18024 (IMS V13). When
the area is flagged as empty in the DMAC, the following tools
skip area scan process to improve performance:
    . FPA Extract function
    . FPA Unload function
    . FPA Change function
    . FPA Reorg function
    . FPO ODE
. FPO OER (both standalone OER and OER called by OSM)
And the following tools report pointer error when segment data
exists in the area but the area is flagged as empty in the DMAC:
    . FPA Analyze function
. FPO OPC (both standalone OPC and OPC call by OSM)
