APAR status

• Closed as new function.

Error description

• This APAR requests IMS to bypass VATVPTR clearing to avoid
  VSAM errors.
  To enable the bypass of VATVPTR clearing, IMS V14 needs APAR
  PI48618 / PTF UI31597, IMS V13 needs APAR PI47278 / PTF UI31724,
  and IMS V12 needs APAR PI47270 / PTF UI31723.
  When those IMS APARs are not applied, this APAR will have no
  effect.

  This APAR enables the Smart Reorg utility to preset
  a name-token to skip clearing of VATVPTR in the IMS batch SVC
  initialization with the following APARs:
  - APAR PI47270 for IMS Version 12
  - APAR PI47278 for IMS Version 13
  - APAR PI48618 for IMS Version 14
  
  The name-token prevents VSAM OPEN errors after IMS DBRC detects
  a new extent for the RECON data sets:
   IEC161I 124(004)-081,APIPROG1,APISTEP,RECON1
