Error description
FPA BUILD INDEX and ONLINE RESYNC functions will add an option to specify a maximum allowable number of duplicate keys. If the number of duplicate keys reaches this value, the job will skip processing of subsequent indexes, and end with a return code of 8. These enhancements are being implemented as a result of RFE 65344.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of HPFPU Fast Path Advanced Tool * * (FPA) in Fast Path Solution Pack Version 1 * * Release 3 (FMID: HAHQ130) who use the Build * * Index function or the Resync function. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The FPA Build Index function and the * * FPA Resync function add a keyword to * * specify whether to end the job step * * when the number of duplicate keys * * reaches the threshold defined by the * * DUPKEYMAX keyword. * * * * The FPA Resync function supports the * * DUPKEYMAX keyword that can be specified * * on the Build Index function. * * * * This APAR also fixes problems that the * * HFPB3514E or the HFPT0009E message is * * issued when running the Resync function * * with RESYNCMODE=VERIFYUPDATE or UPDATE. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. * **************************************************************** A new keyword PROC_AFT_DUPKEY is added for the FPA Build Index function and the FPA Resync function. This keyword is used when the FPA detects the number of duplicate keys, which is specified by DUPKEYMAX keyword, for a Fast Path Secondary Index (FPSI) without an overflow data set. - When PROC_AFT_DUPKEY=CONT, which is the default, is specified, the FPA continues processing the subsequent secondary index databases even when the number of duplicate keys reaches the threshold. - When PROC_AFT_DUPKEY=STOP is specified, the FPA stops the job when the the number of duplicate keys reaches the threshold. The keyword DUPKEYMAX, which can be specified for the Build Index function, can also be specified for the FPA Resync function. The DUPKEYMAX keyword specifies the threshold for the number of duplicate keys per FPSI database. When the threshold is reached, FPA stops processing that FPSI database. Whether FPA continues processing the remaining FPSI databases or stops the job is controlled by the PROC_AFT_DUPKEY keyword. The FPA Resync function generates the Secondary Index Duplicate Key report about the FPSIs that have duplicate keys. This APAR also resolves following problems. 1. When the Resync function is performed with RESYNCMODE=VERIFYUPDATE and the CI or CA split occurs, the FPA Resync function may issue HFPB3514E message and ends with an abend code of U3003. 2. When the multiple Resync jobs are running concurrently with RESYNCMODE=VERIFYUPDATE or UPDATE, the Resync function may issue following message and end with RC=08. HFPT0009E DL/I GHU CALL FAILED STATUS='FD'
