Comments

  • NOTE: Before SMP/E apply, it is recommended that the Customer
make a Backup of their DEC V1.2 SMP/E Environment.
    1. After successful SMP/E apply, the Module DECENCA0 is
introduced. This is a New DB2 EDITPROC to support AES+Secure Key
    2. After successful SMP/E apply, the samplib member DECDB2JB is
updated. It now allows link for DECENCA0, as well as DECENC00.
    3. If Customer wishes to use the new DECENCA0 UDF, then
proceed to step 4., else stop here.
    4. Post SMP/E apply, If Customer wishes to use the new DECENCA0
UDF, Customer should execute the updated samplib member,
DECDB2JB, to link the new Module DECENCA0.
    5. After successful linking of the DEC V1.2 DECENCA0 Module,
for this APAR, Customer should do either of the following
    actions:
    a. Determine if the .SDSNEXIT library, for the DB2 Subsystem
where DEC V1.2 is used, is in the System Linklist concatenation.
If so, issue the LLA Refresh command on that System LPAR.
This will allow Customer to use the updated code, without need
    to Cycle the DB2 Subsystem.
    b. If the .SDSNEXIT library, for the DB2 Subsystem where
DEC V1.2 is used, is not in the System Linklist concatenation,
Customer will need to Cycle the DB2 Subsystem, in order
    to use the updated code.
    6. Customer should note that changes have been made to the ISPF
dialog's SDECPLIB, SDECSLIB and SDECCEXE libraries, to
accommodate using DECENCA0, via the ISPF panel DECPB0.
