Comments
New autooperators are introduced. These operators are used for communication between the GDPS/A-A Controllers and the GDPS/A-A Production systems (including GDPS/PPRC Controlling systems, if present). ACTION REQUIRED Prior to restarting NetView with this fix applied, you must define automated functions GEOAKA1-GEOAKAn to System Automation and associate them with NetView operators AUTAKA1-AUTAKAn. See documentation changes for additional details. MULTIPLE SYSTEM CONSIDERATIONS GDPS/Active-Active users must install the PTFs for this APAR on all production systems and controllers for correct operation. The PTFs must first be installed on all production systems and PPRC K-systems (if used), and then installed on the GDPS/A-A controllers. NEW MESSAGE GEO4551E ROUTING SWITCH ABORTED. OPERATOR DEFINITIONS ARE MISSING Explanation: An attempt to perform ROUTING SWITCH for one or more workloads was performed. See previous SDF alert(s) GEO4817E which have been issued during the handshake process in the GDPS/A-A system initialization or during GDPS monitoring. Action: Correct the definition for this required operator in the system identified in message GEO4817E. Destination: SYSLOG, NETLOG, SDF (Trace) Source: GDPS/Active-Active NEW MESSAGE GEO4817E OPERATOR <autooper> IS NOT DEFINED IN SYSTEM <sysname> Explanation: This message can be issued during GDPS/A-A Controller initialization when handshaking with all other systems, when a production system is loaded or during GDPS/A-A monitoring. The operator <autooper> used to perform the handshake has not been properly defined in system <sysname>. Action: Correct the definition for the required operator in the system identified in the message. Destination: NETLOG, SYSLOG, SDF (Red) Source: GDPS/Active-Active CHANGED MESSAGE GEOQ325I has been updated to include a new EXCEPTION CODE (36) with TEXT (Production system autooperator GEOAKAnn missing) DOCUMENTATION CHANGES Revisions to the GDPS/Active-Active 1.5: Planning and Implementation Guide (ZG24-1767), Chapter 3, Installation. Under the Auto Operators(37) heading, new auto operators are added to the summary table of GDPS mandatory base operators. GDPS initialization will fail if the number of operators defined in the Controllers is less than the number of systems defined in GEOPLEX DOMAINS with the YY automation flag attribute. The new auto operators have a function name and default NetView operator name of GEOAKA1/AUTAKA1 to GEOAKAn/AUTAKAn. You need to define as many operators as you have systems defined with the YY automation flag attribute in both your production sysplexes plus 2 for the GDPS/A-A Controllers. For example, if you have an 8-way sysplex in both regions (including any GDPS/PPRC Controlling systems) plus the two GDPS/A-A Controllers, you need to have GEOAKA1/AUTAKA1 to GEOAKA18/AUTAKA18 defined. In the System Automation policy for your Controlling systems, you can define a single operator mask GEOAKA1 and associate this with a valid NetView operator, AUTAKA1 by default. In the System Automation policy, for your Production sysplex systems, you must define all required operators explicitly. The NetView operators (AUTAKAn) have also to be defined to SAF GDPS defines AUTAKA1 to AUTAKA32 in the supplied GEOOPFxx members.
