• NEW FUNCTION
   This PTF provides GDPS support for greater than 16 primary disk
   subsystems for a given Global Mirror session.
  
  ADDITIONAL PTF REQUIRED FOR EXPLOITATION
   Along with this PTF, GDPS Global Mirror users who will define
   greater than 16 primary disk subystems for a session must
   also apply the PTFs for System Data Mover APAR OA47520.
   PTFs UA79035, UA79036, and UA79037 are available for z/OS
   releases 1.13, 2.1, and 2.2 respectively.
  
  LMC UPDATE REQUIRED FOR EXPLOITATION
   Exploitation of the GDPS Global Mirror enhancement for greater
   than 16 primary disk subsystems in a session requires microcode
   (LMC) on the DS8K Global Mirror master subsystems.
   This is initially available on on IBM DS8870 disk storage in
   release R7.5.5 bundle 87.55.8.0
   Contact IBM storage hardware support to confirm the
   capabilities of your current disk subsystem, or for recommended
   LMC upgrades that provide the required function.
   Note - the PTF may be installed even if the required LMC is not
   present. But in such a case, support for greater than 16
   primary disk subystems in a GM session will not be operational.
